On 11 October 2023, civil society representatives participated in a virtual global consultation leading up to the 3rd GFMD Preparatory Meeting under the current French Chairmanship. The GFMD Preparatory Meeting was held in Geneva on 24-25 October with 6 thematic multi-stakeholder roundtable dialogues on the draft background papers for the 2022-2023 GFMD. Civil society leads who guided each thematic discussion during the global consultation provided the collective inputs of civil society for each background paper.
