On December 5th 2023, French civil society organisation, Secours Islamique France (SIF), co-organised an event in partnership with the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD), the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the French Ministre de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères, and the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC), at COP28 hosted by the United Arab Emirates. This event was an opportunity for diverse stakeholders to exchange on  what roles development actors can play in supporting durable solutions, and preventing and responding to loss and damage as a result of climate change and disasters.
