Civil Society 2024 GFMD Report OUT NOW!

The GFMD Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) is excited to announce the publication of our Final Report on the 14th GFMD Summit chaired by France!

The report delves into the 18-month preparatory process, during which civil society’s self-organisation has been a driving force. You can explore the key advocacy points for each of the thematic priorities, learn more about civil society activities at the summit, the composition of our delegation and the takeaways from the Intersectional Rapporteurs.

The last chapter of the report offers reflections on lessons learned and success factors of the 2022-2024 GFMD process, serving as a starting point for civil society’s engagement with the 2024-2025 Colombian Chairmanship of the GFMD.

We once again give our heartfelt thanks to our robust civil society network and community who have played key roles in this preparatory process: hosting consultations, sharing their expertise and insights, and serving as speakers, moderators, facilitators, rapporteurs, co-facilitators, and on the CSM’s International Steering Committee.

Don’t miss out on a wealth of resources: Interviews, articles and advocacy papers

On our website and social media channels, we captured civil society engagement before and during the 14th GFMD Summit with snapshot articles on the ‘Road from Abuja to Geneva’, the 3rd Civil Society Preparatory Meeting in Geneva, the flagship side event on shifting migration narratives, reflections from the civil society co-facilitators and much more.

Stay tuned for upcoming civil society activities building our road to Colombia!
