We are the institutionalised structure coordinating all civil society engagement in the GFMD. It is guided by an International Steering Committee (ISC) of global civil society organisations and networks, and coordinated by a secretariat, which is hosted by the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC).

15th GFMD Summit
From 1 to 4 September, 74 delegates from global civil society, spanning Indigenous networks in the Pacific Islands, migrant-led collectives across Africa and Asia, faith-based organisations in Europe, human rights defenders in the Americas and global trade unions, met in Riohacha, Colombia, to take part in the 15th GFMD Summit under Colombia’s Chairship.

Convene
Remove logistical and structural barriers to meaningful participation and access to the GFMD Process.
Connect
Lift grassroots, migrant-led and frontline voices into GFMD roundtables, plenaries and bilateral engagements.
Coordinate
Conduct year-round civil society preparatory processes, including strategy meetings, thematic dialogues, preparatory meetings, and collective advocacy, throughout the GFMD cycle.
